Combat Initiation and Training Grounds
The Pits. As in armpits of the universe. That's what most saiyans referred to the training camp. The very few that did 'volunteer' to train the raw idiots who made up the students of the pits were compensated by the imperial throne for their 'due diligence in maintaining saiyan combat elite readiness'. In other words if there was someone to show the idiots stuck in the armpits of the universe how to survive in the combat situations they would soon find themselves in, those few students were blessed to even find themselves stuck with a crippled half blind no tailed beaten up wreck of an ex warrior.
Bardock was very much not such a waste. "First thing you morons should learn is to stop referring to your inner energy by the superstitious colloquialism the hillbilly outbacks in primitive worlds use. It is not Chi, or Ki, or spirit force or spirit energy. It is properly referred to as raw energy of the Bio-Electric or Bio-Plasma variety. All living things generate this energy, even some animals such as the electric hounds of Zesper IV have learned to harness it and so shall you. Since this energy is generated in you, and is open to nearly whatever use you can imagine, the possible applications of use are limitless. But today, you will learn the basic ability to fly."
With that, Bardock raised himself three feet off the ground and circled the small group of students he was working with that week to their left, forcing them to rotate to follow him.
Stopping suddenly he folded his arms over his chest. "That is a basic hovering technique. With greater use of you inner energy, you will be able to propel yourself faster and faster through the air. As warriors, you will find it extremely useful in closing the distance or eluding incoming fire. Many worlds we conquer the indigent life forms do not know how to harness their internal energy and rely on machines to fly them around a battlefield. You will find our form of flight far faster and more agile, allowing you air superiority in combat situations. The most advanced saiyan warriors are the total package on the battlefield. They can fight up close on the ground, have combat superiority in the air, and even bring down heavy firepower with their energy wave attacks."
One of the students shot up her hand waving it about and then without waiting for a response shouted out "Teach us an energy wave attack, lets blow things up!!" Some of the other students nodded and others grinned and smiled showing their approval. Before things could get out of control, Bardock landed on the ground in a thud and rushed the students so fast they couldn't even keep track of his movements. When they did locate him, he was in a fighting position, his fist a hair's breath from the face of the kid who had started the small ruckus. Everyone was so shocked they backed away, they young girl, her tail waiving nervously stared at the fist that was so near her face.
"What good is an energy wave attack to any of you, if you can't even stand up to a simple punch?" he growled out. Then he straitened up and looked around. "The reason you will all learn to fly first is because it is the easiest form of energy manipulation known. From there, you will learn to increase your speed, strength, to shield yourselves and to even throw energy waves. But before you learn even how to attack or defend yourselves, you will learn to fly. This way when the real training begins, flight will be as second nature to you as breathing, and in combat, you can't spare the time to focus on flying, you either do it as an afterthought, or you will get yourself and whatever team you are with killed."
Bardock floated back into the air, then rotated himself so he was facing downward but face forward to everyone who had to stair up at him. "Today you all spend the day trying to figure out how to fly, think on it, work on it if you want. Tomorrow we meat up again and start talking theoretics. What you each came up with and the good and bad points about your ideas. And maybe if you are extremely skilled, you may even learn to float tomorrow, or at the least learn how to learn new skills."
With that, Bardock rotated around, a white aura engulfed him and he shot out of the academy just as fast as the students remember seeing him arrive. He was white blur in the horizon, and then lost within seconds.
