Here is the place where all Roleplaying (in characters) in the vast universe of the RPG will take place. We encourage good roleplaying because only through good roleplaying will our game and your DBZ experience come to life. With that being said just step in you are now among the Elite...The World Is Yours..

Note that while this sub-forum is for in-character roleplay, you do NOT have to roleplay as your character as they are in the game. The roleplaying you do here is NOT part of the game, itself, and does not effect your game character, although members who take time to make their roleplaying here interesting and enjoyable may receive special rare items and gifts that cannot be acquired any other way than by roleplaying here, which CAN be used in the actual game to aid your character. These items are not necessary to be successful in the game, but they will aid you handsomely if you happen to earn one. For instance, I am Pikkon. In this RPG, I only know how to punch at the moment. I can't fly or use any energy attacks or any of the things the real Pikkon from the series could do yet. That doesn't mean I can't do those things here, though. In this sub-forum, I can be my own, limited Pikkon, the Pikkon from the series, or any other version of Pikkon that I feel fits the roleplay thread I'm taking part in. I can have a confrontation with my in-game rival while we both roleplay as our game characters, or we can work together as other versions of the characters and conquer worlds together here. Lastly, you can take part in a roleplay thread happening in West City on Earth while simultaneously taking part in another that is on the other side of Earth or even on planet Namek. The story doesn't have to be cohesive, only the threads, but being as consistent as you can with your character is a plus and will be noticed by the mods who peruse the threads when it's time to award people with those special gifts. This is a place for fun. The universe stands before you. What will you make of it?

Basically, does this mean Chichi doesn't necessarily have to follow being "married" to Goku? I want to make sure that I get the basis down. It doesn't matter to me whether she or isn't though. I'm flexible when it comes to this because I have Roleplayed all types of Chi's. I just want to get a clear idea of how that would work.

This means that in the game, you're married to Goku(it's on your character page), but here in the roleplay sub-forum, you can be whatever you feel is right. You could be Chi-Chi from any point in the series, from the young girl in dragonball to the older Chi-Chi in GT. It just depends on how the other people are roleplaying and how your character fits into that thread. You could also be a version of Chi-Chi that isn't quite how she was in the series if you like, but it's better if you don't make radical changes to her life. Turning her into a villain who works for Dr. Gereau, for instance, is pretty crazy and I wouldn't recommend that because nobody would understand why you'd play her like that instead of choosing another character, but making up a few of the details is not only okay, but recommended.
Also, if you have one thread with Pan and Goku Jr., for instance, you would most likely be the older Chi-Chi. You can still have another thread (like ours in West City) and be a normal, young single adult version of Chi-Chi like you are there at the same time. We'd like you to try to be as consistent with your character as possible, but you can roleplay several versions of the same character.
By consistent, I mean try to make sure that every version of Chi-Chi you portray has her personal qualities, although maybe slightly different because of her age/experience and things. For instance, her grouchiness with people she loves, her rage when she's mad or scared or hurt, and her feminine qualities should be mostly the same, but I'd imagine her as a bit more innocent as a child, grouchier as a woman, and sweeter as a grandma, even though she was still tough.
As with all things roleplay, this is open to interpretation. We want you to have fun and be creative with your characters, not just parrot exactly how they were in the Series, but at the same time, we want outsiders to see the name Chi-Chi in the forums and know to expect a woman mostly like the Chi-Chi they know, not a wildly different character.

I kinda understand what you mean, but as a long term thing, that seems a bit confusing. There should be some kind of plot line that everyone follows, therefore, everyone stays consistent with the age and time period. When I mean plot line, I mean something very general and very basic so that it doesn't take away from the creativity.
When I role play Chichi, I like to role play her as she should have been in the series rather than how she was. I mainly RP Chichi from the end of Dragonball mainly because I felt like that was Chichi's true personality before they had to alter her in DBZ because of the lack of interest in female characters at the time.
I also take some other concepts from Journey to the West where her character originated from aka. Princess Iron Fan.
My main concern is the consistency. I kinda do need to know where canon stands and that's why I asked that question. If I decided to RP Chichi as single and a Goku joins, would that still be okay? Again, I don't have a problem with Rping as close to canon as possible, but I want to know that I have that option.

Well, your character page can be changed to fit you over time. If you prefer to be the single Chi-Chi, that's fine. I'm sure that we can have the marriage title removed from your character page, as the info is all based on the series, but like we said, you can change some things. If a Goku joins later and the two of you find that you like each other and work well together in RP, you can be married, but that will be a decision made between the two players.
As for the time period, it's very hard to pick one time frame. When Chi-Chi was in her late teens, Pikkon was probably not even born yet, there was definitely no Gohan or Trunks or Pan or any of the young characters from later on, there were no Super Saiyans, and many other great things from the game hadn't happened yet. In order to truly feel like you have freedom in the game, you have to have access to things like that, yet still be able to roleplay as the young Chi-Chi, so we can't really make anyone stick specifically to one time or ask them to do things in chronological order.
That being said, we've been throwing around an idea of a timeline that would be filled in by the users, but not chronologically. For instance, you could play as your version of Chi-Chi today and add something to her younger life, play as the grandma Chi-Chi tomorrow and work with characters like Pan to build a thread that would fit into the later years of the timeline. You would be the same character and roleplaying the same life, but different ages. You could then go back to your version of Chi-Chi or to another age of her in other threads.
One idea for the timeline is that we'll have it pre-written and players will pick scenes from the series to play out. The scenes will only be a general setting, and can happen as they will. They don't have to be perfectly fitting with the larger story, and would still rely heavily on imagination rather than sticking to storyline. In this way, you'd be able to live the story in order or jump around through it as you pleased.
We've also considered trying to make some things chronological, like certain sagas, but we need to have the members to play them out correctly before we can make that work. I don't have the last word on this, and I can assure you that things are going to evolve and grow as the game develops, but for now, I think the open RP is geared toward having a good time rather than being perfectly cohesive as a story.
Keep in mind that this is NOT the game roleplay we're talking about. In the game, you'll be one age, living in one time, and not able to jump about in your character's life. The roleplay you do in the battle-grounds and other game-specific areas should be specific to your game character.
Also remember this isn't my game, so nothing I'm saying is 100% sure. I've had a lot of input on the game for a long time, but I didn't create it or build it. Most of these issues are things we've had long discussions about, but never fully resolved.

Pikkon was born xD. He was said to be 1,000 years old in the other world tournament so I am assuming that is how old he is. He was born way before Chichi was. Nevertheless, I am not saying that I don't want Chichi to be married. I just want a clear idea of where she stands as far as family is concerned. Most of the images I use for Chichi are mid twenties/early twenties. I tend to rp her my age which is 25 so it's not that much of a big thing.
Regardless, I am not going to put much thought it into it. I'll just roleplay her as I normally do.

Well, the point of this is for you to build the best character you can. It doesn't have to be perfect, but my best advice to someone like you who knows your character so well already is to just play her as she is in your mind. You could be married to Goku in your RP, and if a Goku joins later, he could RP without mentioning family or marriage, even if you did cover that topic. I think you'll do fine Thanks for asking the questions, though. Keep any ideas you have coming and we'll try to work out the kinks as we go.

Also remember when calculating any damages that a "set point rule" applies for say combat. This means that if your stats increase from updates and you are in a battle the damage you dealt wouldn't increase until the next fight you were in. I dunno why but i felt I had to post that lol. This applies for learning, searching, working, training and all kinds of other things.
